Merchants Fleet CEO Brendan P. Keegan, Named 2021 Business Executive of the Year in the BIG Awards for Business
Hooksett, N.H., December 15, 2021 – Merchants Fleet, the nation’s fastest growing fleet management company, is pleased to announce CEO Brendan P. Keegan has been named 2021 Business Executive of the Year by the Business Intelligence Group’s BIG Award for Business.

Keegan joined Merchants as CEO in 2018, and in the first four years of his tenure he implemented an innovative new strategy that increased the Merchants portfolio to 160,000 managed units, leading the 60-year-old company to its best year ever in 2021 with $1.9B in assets under management, a $2B funding capacity, and 8 million packages per day delivered throughout North America in a vehicle managed by Merchants Fleet.
Under Brendan’s leadership Merchants will continue its upward trend as the company positions itself at the forefront of fleet electrification, supporting sustainability efforts of companies nationwide. Merchants aims to have 50% of its mobility fleet portfolio electric by 2025, and 50% of its managed fleet portfolio fully electric by 2030. As an industry leader, Merchants has also collaborated with major manufacturers and charging partners to provide an innovative ecosystem which enables the seamless adoption & integration of electric vehicles for fleet clients.
